BECOME

Who do I need to become?

365 days of trying to answer that question.

Day 50 of 365 · started

I'm rebuilding everything. My body, my mind, the way I talk, the way I sell and close, the way I think, my memory, how I read people, how I understand business. 365 days. I'm not going back to who I was before this.

This is a year, not a sprint. The guy who makes it isn't the one who goes hardest on Day 3. It's the one still showing up on Day 340 when it's boring. Boring, consistent and still in the fight beats intense and quit. So I build for Day 340, not Day 3.

Manifesto · Day 0

North Star

To become a free man who creates, provides, gives, loves and serves, while staying close to Allah.

Written on Day 45, not Day 0. It came after a stretch of zero days, and the real cause turned out to be working without a destination.

Working, sacrificing, for no visible or known destination.

DAY 50 · · Week 8

Remembering death

Milestone

A sudden, physical realization late at night: how close and unguaranteed life really is, and how easily that fact gets forgotten.

Next to a fact this real, the hesitation and fear of an unknown outcome looked small and secondary. The hard part is not seeing this once. It is how easily we get distracted enough to forget it again.

The pillars

Different areas.Same goal.

The pillars are the areas I'm working on to become the person I want to be. Each one feeds the others.

  1. Physical

Move better. Feel better. Build a body that lasts.

  2. Mental

Stay calm under pressure. Choose action over fear.

  3. Communication

Express better. Listen more. Build real connections.

  4. Sales

Start real conversations. Pitch without hesitation.

  5. Closing

Find the real need. Turn a real fit into a clear yes.

  6. Thinking

Think deeper. See clearer. Make better decisions.

  7. Memory

Remember what matters. Build a stronger mind.

  8. Reading People

Understand better. See beyond the surface.

  9. Business

Learn how value is built. Run it and grow it.

Weekly lessons

(8)

What each week taught me, in my own words.

WEEK 01

Days 0–6 · –

Day 0: I wrote down who I wanted to become before I had any proof I could actually get there.

I caught myself dropping everything the second something went wrong.

WEEK 02

Days 7–13 · –

I used to shake on the phone. Then I just didn't.

WEEK 03

Days 14–20 · –

Someone tried to play me three different ways in one conversation, and I caught every single one.

WEEK 04

Days 21–27 · –

I kept telling myself it was the market, or the pitch. It wasn't.

Watched one random video and used it the same day to actually understand why a client went quiet.

WEEK 05

Days 28–31 · –

I stopped hiding behind “I'm busy with something else” and just said the real thing.

WEEK 06

Days 32–38 · –

Got sick for a week straight and still shipped something real.

WEEK 07

Days 39–45 · –

I realized I was working hard with no idea where it was actually going, and that was breaking me more than the hard work itself.

WEEK 08

Days 46–50 · – in progress

How close and unguaranteed life actually is.

The most valuable lesson

The end of a thing is the start of something greater.

Leaving the startup was really scary. It was a project I had put blood, sweat and tears into. My time, my money, my effort. And then it was over.

I was scared. Scared of the uncertainty, of the void, of not knowing what I would be doing now. For four days I was empty.

But those four days were actually the start of something bigger. In them I learned by heart what Tawakkul means.

  • I was scared, but I planned.
  • I was unmotivated, but I worked.
  • I had nothing, but I kept working.

And slowly the ideas came back. The productivity came back. And the path started to get a little clearer.

وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْوَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ

And say: Work, for Allah will see your work, and so will His Messenger and the believers.

Surah At-Tawbah · 9:105
Tawakkul
Do whatever you can. Plan, work, sacrifice. Then leave the outcome in the hands of Allah.
